What is that thing? Herbie Husker? Doesn’t look like any of the Herbie Husker Google knows anything about, even the 70s versions. I mean he’s tall and has a cowboy hat and stuff. But that dang massive kiddie punching bag corn prop isn’t popping up anywhere. Was that a thing, Nebraska fans? Oh well, at least he’s not wearing it on his head like the terrifying Corn Cob of yesterfear. That thing looks belongs on the cover of the Batman issue DC just couldn’t come up with a villain for.
Speaking of corn cobs, it was a Corn Cob Clobbering — 16-0, Nebraska–the highlights from which you could see 10 pm Sunday (seems kinda late) “live on tape” on The Tom Osborne Show hosted by Mark Ahmann good ol’ Jim Kelter.
The Cornhuskers also appear victorious in the facial hair department. Some roster rows show just a single cornhusker sans ‘stache.
